Obsessive-compulsive syndrome (Artane side effects) is most typical for Tourette syndrome, but may also occur in Parkinson's disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, dystonia.

When extrapyramidal disorders often develop as:

- Irritability,

- Disinhibition,

- Impulsivity

- Outbreak of aggression.

Trihexyphenidyl study would more accurately present a picture of involvement in the pathological process of various brain structures and thus may contribute to the differential diagnosis of extrapyramidal disorders. Identification of the affected and intact parts of the cognitive processes can chart a path to their neuropsychological correction.
